USA’s answer to Sienna Miller. Here’s the tv star that will be selling jeans this winter. The 19-year old fashion icon Mischa Barton from “The OC” will adorn the billboards during the Swedish Christmassale. Behind the venture is JC.

It’s the part of Marissa Cooper on the dramaseries “OC” that made Mischa a star. But it’s her own sense of style that made her a fashion icon.
- It’s flattering that people like how I dress, she says.
And it pays.
- We hope that Mischa will help us reach the customers who are 20 and older, a spokesperson for JC says.
Modeled in Asia
It’s above all the jeansbuyers that Barton is hoping to catch.
- I don’t know a lot about Swedish fashion. Spontaneous it feels a bit more sophisticated than the US, she says.
It’s not the first time Barton is modelling. She’s earlier done campaigns in Asia and this spring, she did an American campaign for a shoeline.
Enjoys herself in fron of the camera
- I don’t see myself as a model. But I like it, I love photoshoots and I enjoy myself in front of the camera. My groundrule is that I’ll only do the kind of stuff that I would buy myself.
So, you’d buy jeans from JC? – You probably won’t believe me, but I’m wearing a pair right now.
Did you buy them? – Ehm.. no. I got them during the photoshoot.
