“In honor of its 125th anniversary, Bvlgari is teaming up with Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future campaign. The campaign’s primary goal is to provide children in poverty-stricken countries with the opportunity to receive an education and thus a far better future than the one they were looking at prior to Save the Children’s involvement.
Save the Children is an organization I hold dear to my heart. I had the privilege of traveling to Africa as an ambassador and got to see first-hand how invaluable their efforts are towards improving the lives of underprivileged children worldwide. They help to provide kids with proper medical care, nourishment, educational programs, and emergency relief.
Experiencing it first-hand was a real eye-opener as to how fortunate I am, and anything I can do to help promote the cause and thereby assist the children in need is well worth my while.
Bvlgari has created a silver ring and pendant with “Save the Children” engraved on the inside and all of the proceeds will go to the campaign. Their goal is to raise 10 million euros by the end of 2009. I am wearing the ring in the photo above, which I took for the campaign along with a number of other celebrities.
