Mischa Barton is so determined to land a role in a Shakespearean play that she has taken a course on the playwright to boost her chances of landing a part. The beauty wants to concentrate on her stage career, and therefore, has decided to take a break from pursuing movie roles. Barton insists that gaining a part in one of the Bard’s works is her top priority. She says, “I recently did a Shakespeare course because they don’t teach Shakespeare properly in American schools. “But I suppose as with any play it is about finding the right cast and actors and script for you.”

Mischa Barton is about to get ugly! She’s rumored to have an upcoming role on Ugly Betty. The producers are looking to replace Lindsay with Mischa for a five-episode guest arc on the show. Insiders from the set say, “Mischa’s career is at a standstill, so this might be great for her. It’s not a done deal yet, but talks continue.” We could definitely see Mischa doing this show! She belongs on television. Ever since she left the O.C. to pursue film, her career has gone downhill. We think this will be a good turnaround for her considering the fact that she hasn’t done anything really relevant for some time. One tip for Mischa to actually succeed on the show might be to stay on good terms with America Ferrera. Lindsay’s spot on the show was reportedly cut from six to four episodes because of her behavior on set and her beef with America.
Former The O.C. star Mischa Barton has replaced British actress Sienna Miller in the cast of new movie Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain. The Alfie actress had been lined up to take the female lead in the film, which focuses on the story of a chemical spillage in India. But now 22-year-old Barton will join former West Wing star Martin Sheen in the picture, which is due for release later this year.
Later this year, Mischa can be seen in Walled In. The movie involves a young woman who recently graduated from engineering school (Mischa) and travels to a remote location to supervise the demolition of a mysterious building. She soon discovers the horrifying secrets of the building and its past inhabitants, many of whom were victims of a vicious murderer who entombed his prey alive within its walls. Walled In is based on Serge Broselot’s bestselling French novel “Les Emmeures.” Thanks to JustJared for the infos!
Extras are needed to rub shoulders with the stars in a gritty fantasy film being shot in Great Yarmouth. Malice in Wonderland features Hollywood hearthrob Mischa Barton and Danny Dyer with Bob Hoskyns also lined up to take a role. Anyone chosen at the audition will then appear in the background of the Lewis Carroll inspired crime fantasy as it is filmed around the resort over the summer. And as well as offering people the chance to appear on the big screen, the hard hitting and imaginative film is yet another feather in Yarmouth’s growing cap as a top destination for movie locations. Film producers have already secured the name of Mischa Barton, famous from the hit television series the OC and movies St Trinian’s and Don’t Fade Away. English born Mischa will play the lead role Alice, who enters the fantasy world of wonderland full of criminal lowlifes based on Lewis Carroll’s colourful children’s novel. The audition took place in Yarmouth’s Hippodrome from noon to 4pm. People had to be over 18 and were asked to dress up as ball room dancers, punks or in a criminal gang theme.
Thanks to Mischa B for this find!
