After two episodes, The CW gave it the axe, making it the first cancellation of the fall season. According to THR, production was halted Friday while filming its seventh episode. Mischa Barton has been ordered to slim down for her role as a model in new TV series The Beautiful Life. The actress was apparently “shocked to tears” when she was told she’s too fat and needs to drop 10lbs. “She knows that means they are calling her fat behind her back,” blabbed one insider. “She knows she is heavier than she needs to be but to hear it like that? it really shook her. How can Mischa play a model when she’s looking so heavy? “She’s broken down in tears more than once before shooting. It’s a lot of pressure for someone who is just out of hospital. “She’s always been able to lose weight fast. Everyone knows she’s been struggling, so people are just really rooting for her.”

Sara Paxton and Nico Tortorella opened up to ET about what’s to come in the series premiere of The Beautiful Life. Sara revealed that her character, Raina Marinelli, has a girl crush on Mischa Barton’s Sonja Stone. She shared, “My character actually really like’s Mischa['s character, Sonja]. In the first episode, my character books a Versace campaign and gives it to Sonja because she cares about her.”
