Volumising Waves
- Use defrizz shampoo and conditioner before styling. Towel-dry.
- Tip head upside down and scrunch the hair using volumising mousse.
- An alternative to this is to sleep in damp hair and let the night do the work till morning.
- When the hair is dry, use a curling iron to curl any dodgy kinks. Spritz with hairspray to hold.
Tousled Waves
- Use defrizz shampoo and conditioner before styling. Towel-dry until damp.
- Part the hair onto the side. Add curl boosting mousse or spray to the damp hair before-hand.
- Braid the hair into 2 or more plaits securing as close to the scalp and ends as possible. French plaits are therefore preferred as they are secured onto the head – get someone else to help you with this if you want.
- When completely dry undo the braids carefully, using your fingers to separate them and not a brush. Shake your head to loosen them and spritz with hairspray to hold.
Straight and Sleek
- If you’re hair is naturally curly/wavy, try using straightening shampoo and conditioner before-hand.
- Use an anti split-ends or heat-styling spray to protect the hair when styling. Comb through to evenly distribute the product.
- Blow-dry (preferably with a diffuser)using a good brush, pulling and drying the hair horizontally for more body and smoothness.
- Afterwards, use a straightening iron to make the hair kink-free and the ends less curved inwards. Remember to use a heat-styling spray before-hand. When complete, spritz with hairspray.
