Mischa Barton is reportedly quitting Hollywood. The former O.C. actress is reportedly planning to move to London to settle down with her new boyfriend, DJ Ali Love, who she has been dating for just a month. A source close to the star told heat magazine: “Mischa’s found a great new guy. She can’t wait to move to London to be with him. It’s already in the works.” The 24-year-old star is also hoping to launch a stage career and has set her sights on landing a leading role in a production in the UK capital’s West End theatre district. The friend added: “Instead of Hollywood gigs, Mischa’s focusing on a stage career in the West End. She wants to spend a year in London and see where things go with both the theatre and Ali. She’s so happy to be starting afresh. She’s so in love!” Mischa has previously stated she “feels more comfortable in England”, where she was born and lived until she was six years old. The actress – who has been linked with a string of famous men, including singers Luke Pritchard and Johnny Borrell – went public with her romance with Ali at London’s Lovebox festival last month. A source said at the time: “Mischa was looking pretty merry in a bedraggled short flowery dress and white bow. She and Ali were all over each other backstage, and kept popping off to the toilets – presumably for a cheeky kiss. “They just returned from a break in the South of France and things are obviously going really well.”

Mischa Barton is kicking off her career comeback with a healthy new lifestyle – she has quit drinking. The former O.C. star admitted to hitting “rock bottom” when she was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold last summer, following the cancellation of her TV series The Beautiful Life. The meltdown, which Barton blamed on botched dental surgery, came two years after she was charged with driving under the influence, stemming from a December 2007 arrest in Los Angeles. But the actress is determined to turn her career around and clean up her act – and she’s starting her health kick by giving up booze. She says, “I’m being healthy and working hard. I have had lots of offers coming in and as well as reading through scripts, I’m also designing my own range of bags. “I love England and I’ve been desperate to get here to see my friends and my boyfriend, but it’s been hard with the stuff going on in the States. “I’m avoiding drinking, which is a shame as there’s nothing better than a glass of delicious English Pimm’s.”

I dumped you first.’ “I felt like my heart was broken at the end of a couple of relationships but it wasn’t really.”

Mischa Barton has revealed that she’s “excited” about launching her new line of handbags in the UK. The actress, who recently guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has admitted that despite not knowing what her next acting role will be, she is focusing on the upcoming season of her handbag line. Speaking to Teen Hollywood, the 24-year-old said: “SVU is my favourite show, so when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at the chance. It was fun to return to NYC, as well. “As for what’s next, I’ve yet to decide on my next role, but I am about to launch the new season of my handbag line in the UK and am very excited since they’ve been so well received.”
